Windows with .NET Framework 4.8 is required for the launcher.

Install through the launcher
Extract the download. Keep the included files together, open RiftDuelLauncher.exe, and choose Check & update.

Choose your hero
Press Play, pick Nyx, Torr, or Lyra, and select Find a match. The queue looks for a similarly rated opponent.

Break through their defenses
Escort your minions, destroy the enemy tower, then take the core. Wins and losses update your Elo rating.

Before you queue.
How does ranked play work?
You start at 1,200 Elo. Wins gain points, losses cost points, and the amount depends on your opponent's rating. The search widens as you wait. Leaving an assigned match counts as a loss; cancelling while queued does not.
Where is my rating saved?
Your rating is stored on the server. This playtest recognizes you through a private credential saved on this computer. Keep that local profile: clearing it or moving to another computer creates a new player. Account recovery is not available yet.
What if every arena is busy?
There are up to ten simultaneous matches. You remain in the queue until a place and a suitable opponent become available.
Is this a finished game?
This is an early playtest with three animated heroes, ranked 1v1 matches, and a practice mode. Art, combat balance, and network behavior are still being developed.
